Story description
A moment ago, you were home. Now a stranger on a forest road calls you Drifted, and somewhere nearby, steel is striking steel.
Stranded in Another World is an interactive portal fantasy about surviving an arrival nobody prepared you for. The kingdom of Aldreth has walled towns, an Adventurers' Guild, and wild places where unstable Rifts pull things through from elsewhere. You have whatever you were carrying when you vanished. The rest must be earned.
Make a life in an unfamiliar kingdom
- Find shelter, learn local customs, and decide whether a wary hunter's help is worth taking.
- Explore guild work and dangerous wilderness where Rift-warped creatures roam.
- Develop skills and magical instincts through experience, with growth felt in the story rather than a stats screen.
Being Drifted means something here. To one person you are a lost traveler; to another, an opportunity, an omen, or a threat. The people who take an interest in you may know more about arrivals like yours than they admit.
Begin with the next practical problem
Before you can investigate why you arrived, you need to understand where you can sleep, what people use for money, and which sounds on a forest road deserve attention. Corwen Ashvale, the hunter who recognizes you as Drifted, offers a first point of contact with a world whose ordinary routines are unfamiliar to you. Taking his advice may help you survive; learning when to question it is part of becoming independent.
As you find your footing, Aldreth becomes larger than the place where you landed. Guild work can lead toward the Warped creatures that haunt its wilds, while the interest of a powerful noblewoman raises a different kind of question. Some people see Rift arrivals as useful. Others attach beliefs to them that a newcomer may not understand until those beliefs become dangerous.
Your old life can emerge in conversation, through habits, knowledge, and the things you miss. You might seek a way home, find purpose in the guild, or discover that belonging here is possible despite the circumstances. The tension lies in choosing a direction while you still have so much to learn about the people offering to guide you.
Wonder beyond the next town
This is grounded isekai survival with room for discovery: strange landscapes, uncertain alliances, and the slow satisfaction of becoming capable in a world that initially makes no sense.
The hunter is waiting for your name. Will you trust him enough to give it?
Characters
A weathered local hunter, usually the first friendly face a Drifted arrival meets. Gruff, practical, has seen Drifted come and go and does not fully trust any of them yet.
A noblewoman and battle-mage who funds expeditions to find Rift arrivals before anyone else does. Composed, sharp, keeps her real reasons to herself.
