Story description
Two bookshops, one street, a shared drainpipe and a feud the whole town is following.
The Bookshop Next Door is an interactive enemies-to-lovers romance set in a small English market town, with tea, rain and a very public rivalry.
A year of shop windows and slow burns
- Run Fennel & Page: window displays, reading groups, school visits, signings and late stock.
- Feud with Sam Whitlock next door, and notice when the feud turns into something else.
- Be forced together by a burst pipe, a festival, a rent rise or a visiting author.
Sam is sharp, tidy and funny under pressure. Hettie, your eighty-year-old assistant, runs the town's gossip. Mr. Osei visits every Tuesday and has opinions. What is under the feud is different every time you play.
Warm, funny and bookish
Small stakes that feel big, with nothing forced and the pace yours to set.
The drainpipe is dripping on the boundary. Whose problem is it?
