Story description

Fifteen years ago, a late-night radio host walked out of his studio mid-broadcast and never came back. Your microphone is on.

Dead Air is an interactive investigative drama. You host a true-crime podcast, and your new season is about the man who vanished from the airwaves.

Find the story, then tell it

  • Interview sources, work through old tapes and archives, and verify what people tell you.
  • Decide what to air and what to hold, and build episodes from what you find.
  • Face the pressure of the job: legal threats, nervous sources and deadlines.

Jules, your producer, hears what is hidden in a recording. Bram, the retired engineer, kept the original tapes. Dana, Vic's old co-host, now runs a regional network. What really happened to Vic Delaney is different every time you play, and the truth comes out late.

Late-night mood, small-town secrets

Quiet tapes, dim studios and real unease without gore. What you publish changes how the people in the story behave.

The reel is on the spindle. Do you press play before the first question or after?
