Story description

The ship is losing oxygen. The crew is missing. The only voice answering you belongs to an AI with holes in its memory.

Signal Lost is an interactive sci-fi survival mystery aboard the damaged deep-space vessel Ansel Bray. You wake with no clear memory of how you arrived, far from help, surrounded by failing systems and evidence that does not quite match the ship's account of events.

Keep the ship alive long enough to understand it

  • Explore life support, navigation, cargo, and medical systems for repairs and clues.
  • Piece together what happened through damaged logs and the physical traces the crew left behind.
  • Decide when to trust ARC, the fragmented onboard intelligence that may be your best chance of surviving.

ARC is dry, literal, and troubled by gaps it cannot explain. Its reports are useful, but sometimes the evidence in front of you tells a different story. Your relationship develops while both of you try to work with what remains.

Explore a ship that cannot explain itself

A damaged passage, a system behaving unexpectedly, a log that ends before the part you need: the Ansel Bray reveals its recent history in pieces. Looking closely matters because the ship is both your shelter and the scene of whatever happened. The same compartment may contain a useful repair opportunity and evidence that changes your understanding of the crew.

You cannot investigate everything at once. Failing life support draws attention away from promising records; restoring access might let you explore further while creating another demand on strained systems. The tension comes from choosing what is urgent without knowing which missing detail will eventually prove important.

Get to know the voice in the silence

ARC can reason with you, respond to your questions, and acknowledge that parts of its own memory are wrong or absent. Its dry manner offers a measure of companionship in an otherwise empty vessel. When you notice a contradiction, do you challenge it, investigate quietly, or work together on the possibility that both of you lack the same crucial information? Your decisions shape a relationship that develops alongside the repairs. Depending on an intelligence you do not fully understand makes every new piece of trust significant.

Answers have to wait for air

This space thriller builds tension through isolation, exploration, and the competing demands of survival and investigation. A promising clue may lie beyond a system that needs fixing first. A necessary repair may expose something you were not ready to find.

The alarm is still sounding. Which problem will you tackle before the next one becomes urgent?
